This weight loss breakfast is vegan and helps to shed some kilos.
It’s taken me a long time to get to the point where I’m ready to do this. With some expert help and motivation, I’ve come to the place of being interested again in the foods I’m putting into my mouth. (this means less time on the computer every day)
So after some research on the best foods to eat for someone who is on their spiritual ascension path and also bordering type 2 diabetes and moving through hormonal shifts towards menopause, I’m developing a menu and some easy delicious recipes for myself, which addresses some of these issues, and I’m sharing with you in the hope they will also help you.
Breakfast Porridge for Winter
- 1/2 cup oats (use gluten-free from your health foods or buy online), or quina (carb factor, great for heart, nervous system, digestion bulk )
- 4 prunes, or dried apricots (add sweetness, and great for the bowels. (If wanting a lower GI form of sweetness. Grate one raw grated green apple to your oats after it is cooked)
- 1 1/2 cups water (preferably purified if you have access to it)
Add together in a pot, bring to boil in a saucepan, (*see below for the Raw Foodie Version)
Then simmer until your liking.
Put into a bowl, then add
- 3 tbsp of organic coconut oil, mix through oats to melt while hot (great for memory, study, Alzheimer’s, turns the brain back on as it supports brain chemistry and neurotransmitter firing, to produce ketones in the body, like a high protein diet, without eating animal protein)
- 2 tbsp of Fibre Mix (Coles brand in the health food Isle) (blend of psyllium husks, linseed meal, oatmeal, slippery elm & carob powder – has lots of great benefits)
- 2 tsp organic maple syrup, (open your cells to receive all the goodness)
- dash of organic soy milk, or other milk or preferably a couple of good spoons of good natural yogurt or soy, almond or coconut yogurt (provides pro-biotic to support healthy gut flora)
Mix together and Enjoy.
I’d love to hear what you think or if you have any suggestions and especially how you feel after it.
Say 10 to 15 mins after eating it.
